World War II – Cooperation

The context of World War II is a great one in which to talk about the theme of cooperation. The defeat of Hitler could not have come about without coordination between the Allies and the participation of all Americans on the Home Front, most notably women who worked in the factories and volunteered for war-related organizations. The Helen Keller quote, “Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much,” could be used to frame a discussion about why cooperation might have been so important in the second World War.
