Looking at youth leaders like Greta Thunberg opens a door through which students can enter the theme of civic responsibility, and how a young individual can change how the world thinks about an issue. Using only her voice Thunberg was able to impact the global discussion on climate change. I would use the Margaret Mead quote to lead into looking at how Thunberg took on of the responsibility of being a global citizen. “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
