Malcolm X – Success

“If you have no critics you’ll likely have no success.”
Malcolm XBig Idea
Taking constructive criticism is hard. It requires that a person resists the emotional need to lash back against people who point out flaws. Many people would rather hear words of encouragement because they carry with them the feeling of unconditional love and acceptance. Yet, being able to listen to suggestions for improvement is a really important life skill. Students must decide for themselves the unique role encouragement and criticism will play in their self-development.
